Services for Jeanett M Gene Tompkins 67 of 53 Medina were held Monday at Gillman Funeral Home. He died Friday at Orrville Osteopathic Hospital after a short illness. He retired after 33 years with Ohio Boxboard Corporation of America and packaging. Surviving wife Anna, son William H. of Rittman, daughter Beth of the home, brother Aylett of Virginia, sisters Carrie Ranger and Gertrude Turner, and three grandchildren. Burial in Rittman Cemetery.

Three Rittman Boys Fined for Break-In at Pool

Police report two Rittman men, Jay Weigley aged 35 and Aud rey Lambert aged 57, remain missing after last being seen Aug 5 and Aug 6 respectively. Weigley, a bricklayer from 43 S Second St, is 6 feet tall, 180 pounds with hazel eyes and malaria history. Lambert from 99 N Seneca St is 6 feet tall, 198 pounds with grey eyes and black hair, last seen boarding a Wooster bus. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Chief Heffelman.

Rittman Woman Indicted by Jury for Assault
Victoria Rogel of Rittman indicted by Wayne County Grand Jury on charges of assault with a deadly weapon for shooting and wounding her 13 year old son Ronnie Jordan at the home of his grandparents two weeks ago. The boy, a student at Ida Sue School, is listed in satisfactory condition at the Cleveland Clinic. Rogel faces arraignment Friday August 20 before Judge Adrian Miller.
