A Tuesday noon fire destroyed the Camp Shadyside Scout cabin near Rittman. Fifteen boys and leaders had built the lodge from donated materials over more than a year. Firefighters could not save the structure or the memories of the retreat, with padlocked ashes suggesting possible entry.
Audra Lou Shook of 79 N Second St Rittman has been awarded a Wooster College scholarship. Fall term begins September 12 with three days of registration and classes. President Wahart will speak as new students arrive and a campus reception welcomes returning students and faculty.

Miss Mary Bender of Rittman and Eli Sakick of Barberton were married by Justice J. G. Van Nest in Wooster last Thursday afternoon.
The deceased Frank Delaninger, formerly in hardware and finnityy business in Rittman before moving to Wellington twelve years ago, leaves eleven children. His father and mother died five or six years ago. He was divorced. Throht Miter is a nephew.
