Wayne Co Boys Win Cattle Judging Honors at Dairy Day
Wayne county high school boys won top honors at Dairy Day hosted by the Ohio Experiment Station in Wooster. The Smithville team placed first earning the championship trophy from Kroger, with Columbus Grove second and Wooster third among 42 teams in the Vocational Agriculture Division. Smithville team members were James Gresser William Caul and Robert Steiner coached by Ralph Fuller. They judged Holstein Jersey and Guernsey cattle.

New Homes In Rittman No 14 In A Series
The Rodenberg house on North Main Street opposite the Post Office has been transformed from a tumble down structure into a modern comfortable home. Exterior updates include shingles paint white and a new roof with a small front porch and a Cape Cod style rear porch. Inside features include solid walnut wainscoting white baseboards and molding walnut railings with white spindles and new wall paper. Upstairs holds two large bedrooms with white woodwork. Most improvements were done by the Rodenbergs themselves.

Three Medina County men beaten after Barberton argument
Ernest Hubacher of Rittman Ned Reynolds of Sterling and Willard Gasser of Rittman were violently assaulted near the Medina county line after a traffic dispute in Barberton. The attackers demanded ten dollars, fled, then ambushed the trio on the road. Investigations continue with Sheriff Mills and deputies. one suspect released after naming accomplices. Stolen Car Found in Burbank After Car Theft
A nine mile per hour theft led to a search broadcast by the county sheriff. Deputy Stan Shelly arrested Orr as he tried to drive the auto away at Burbank. The car was returned to its owner. Orr faced intoxication and disorderly conduct charges and received five days on the streets. Earlier, four youths faced Mayor Baker over property damage in Grand View park and were put on six months probation with restitution.
