One Car Crash Leaves Victor Shook Critical

Victor Shook a 25 year old Wooster resident son of Mr and Mrs Tracy Shook of West Sunset Drive was listed in critical condition at Wadsworth Municipal Hospital after a Wednesday night single vehicle crash on Seville Road. He suffered multiple fractures in his left leg and jaw and head injuries. His 1957 French Renault was destroyed after running off a culvert near the Jim Silchuk farm while en route from skating at the Wooster rink to Triangle for refreshments.

Hot Stove League elects new officers and banquet plans

Inventor Noah Amstutz Dies at 92 Linked to Graphic Arts

Former Easton resident and noted inventor Noah S. Amstutz died in New Jersey at 92 and was buried in Valparaiso Ind. He pioneered graphic arts devices including the Electric Autograph and helped shape the photo mechanical process. His papers and images were donated to Porter County Historical Society with related exhibits at Smithsonian and Royal Society of Arts.

Rittman council plans budget for baseball program

The Hot Stove League demands funding and a village clerk hire, warning that without a recreation levy in November the baseball program may end. Concerns over sidewalk grading and a dead end sign prompt petitions, while Mrs Clayton Kunkler is appointed assistant village clerk with duties starting August 19. Bloodmobile drive in Rittman exceeds goal

The Rittman Bloodmobile drive collected 148 pints of blood, surpassing a 125 pint quota. A total of 175 people came to donate at Legion Hall, including seven walk-ins, with 13 cancellations and 18 no shows. Local chairs Mrs. Bodager and Mrs. Kunkler express thanks.
