Brother of local woman dies in Cleveland
Roy Dingey 64, former Rittman resident, died Saturday at Crile Veterans Hospital Cleveland. Funeral services were held at Biggs Funeral Home Barberton Wednesday. He is survived by his wife Mildred one daughter Gale two sisters Mrs Icy Hine of Rittman and Mrs Alice Horner of Shreve and one brother Joseph of Cres.

Nettie Atkin 95 Dies After Brief Illness
Nettie Atkin, 95, died early Sunday morning July 27 at Wadsworth Hospital after a brief illness. She moved from New Jersey to Rittman in 1951 to live with granddaughter Mrs. David Fredrick, and spent much of her life in New York and New Jersey. She was among the oldest members of Bethel Presbyterian Church in East Orange. Survivors include granddaughters Mary Huchting and Helen Fredrick and great grandchildren Ricky and Ann Fredrick. She was predeceased by son Charles and husband Samuel, both in 1952. Funeral services and burial were held in New Jersey.

Clippinger retires after fifty years with Ohio Boxboard Co
Howard Clippinger retired after 50 years of service at Ohio Boxboard Co. He joined in 1906, became assistant treasurer and credit manager in 1942, and held prior roles in multiple departments. He served Rittman in public roles, led local boards, and is active in Milton Presbyterian Church. He and wife Pearl live at 91 S Main St with two children, Robert and Miriam.

Library to Move Next Week Dates Set for Rittman Public Library
The Rittman Public Library will move from the first floor to the second floor room once used for dances and meetings from Friday August 10 to Tuesday August 14. No books will be loaned during the move but returns are accepted at regular hours. Workmen finish sanding and refinishing floors in the new room as painting and lighting upgrades are planned.

Jacek Baker Dies at 46 in Ohio After Illness
Funeral services were held for Jacek Baker 46 of Greenbrier Ave. who died Friday at Crile Veterans Hospital Cleveland after a six month illness. Born in Guilford Two Medina County he lived near Seville before moving to Rittman in 1933. He worked at Ohio Injector Co. Wadsworth Ohio Boxboard Co. Rittman and Thomas Mold and Die Co. Wooster. A World War II veteran he served with Headquarters 1st Cavalry Brigade and Allied Forces two years with 18 months in Japan. He earned two Bronze Battle Stars Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon Philippine Liberation Ribbon Japan Viet medal Army of Occupation and good conduct medals. He is survived by wife Vera and six brothers. Rev Dwight B Davidson officiated.
