The office of Dr. William W. Sexauer at 112 W. Ohio was burglarized Tuesday evening while he dined nearby. An inner door was forced open and $107 was taken from a desk in a rear room. Police are investigating.

Cathy Imhoff Named National Merit Scholar from Rittman

Cathy Imhoff of 87 North Street was named the first National Merit Scholar from Rittman. She is one of 2250 high school seniors nationwide to win Merit Scholarships and will receive a four year Baldwin Wallace College scholarship. She plans to major in English and teach high school.

Pearl Stern Dies At 83 In Sterling Area

Pearl Stern 83 lifelong Sterling-Rittman resident died Thursday evening at Holmes Nursing Home Wadsworth after a long illness. Born August 18 1883 near Sterling she was a St Anns parishioner Altar Society member and wife of Earl predeceased her. Survived by brother Delbert W Moore Sr of Rittman and nieces and nephews. Rosary prayers were at Gillman Funeral Home and Fr J Norman Riley officiated Burial followed at St Anns Cemetery.
