Mrs Amy Ellen Craig died Tuesday night at her home on Salt Street in Rittman aged 71. She was widow of John Craig and survived by two daughters Mrs Gault Aurand of Rittman and Mrs George Conkle of Marshallville and three sons Russell Leroy and Harold all of Rittman. Services were held Wednesday at 2:30 PM at United Brethren Church with burial in Rittman Cemetery.

Soldier Arrives Home After Wife's Death on Good Friday
Sat Paul Weagamon of Banton reached Wooster days before his wife died of an incurable disease in a hospital on Good Friday. She was 21 and they had shared their second wedding anniversary there. He served as a technical sergeant in the air corps and had been overseas since last July. Red Cross cooperation helped bring him home in time to be with his wife and their anniversary. Dean J. Brenneman of N Main St was promoted to sergeant. Master Sgt. Joseph A. McElwee returned home for Easter on furlough after 30 years in foreign service with the air corps.
