Baby Jennifer Lynn Wallace Born in Barberton Hospital

Mr and Mrs Robert Wallace announce the birth of daughter Jennifer Lynn at Barberton Citizens Hospital on March 23 weighing 5 pounds 15 ounces. She has three older brothers Terry Jeff and Mike and grandparents Mary Smith and Minnie Wallace. The family resides at 331 North Seneca Road, Rittman.

Mrs Gordon to celebrate 90th birthday with family

Mrs Alfred Gordon will celebrate her 90th birthday on April 14. She has four children Charles and Carl of Rittman, Marie Beck of Seville, and Mabel Kmch of Kalamazoo. She has 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. The children invite an open house at Wayne Savings and Loan Social Room in Rittman on Sunday, April 11 from 2 to 5 pm. No gifts.

Orrville man named Clerk Treasurer by Rittman Board

David Plahuta of Orrville was appointed Clerk-Treasurer of the Rittman Board of Education succeeding Margaret Williams. His salary is 9000 dollars per year through December 31, 1976. He and wife Sue Jenkins Plahuta reside at West Church Street. He is a 1975 Bowling Green BSBA and 1973 Miami University arts and sciences graduate with prior work at Kaser and Bock Heinz Agriculture and Morton Salt.

Stolen CB Radio and Tools Lead List of Local Thefts

A CB radio valued at 149 dollars was stolen from a vehicle on Medina Street March 27. A truck entry on March 27 yielded a CB radio and tools valued at 570 dollars on Bellevue Street. A locked N Main Street theft March 3 involved a 161 dollar item. A Seneca Street home was broken into with antique silverware etc. Stolen items include seven wrenches and two hand saws. A church break in on April 3 took a power unit three microphones and 4 dollars. A damaged exhaust system power steering and ignition on an auto stolen March 26. Two juveniles reported missing March 30 and later returned home. A missing juvenile apprehended March 24 by Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Suspects arrested awaiting juvenile court action. Incident notes include March 27 traffic near East Ohio Ave where Ronald Goodhart backed from a parking space after a horn blast.
