Mrs John A Smith of Bessemer City died Monday morning in a Charlotte sanitarium after a weeks long illness. The body was taken to her sister in law Venetia Smith in Charlotte then buried after a short home service. She was formerly Miss Fannie Pinchback of Caswell County and is survived by her husband, a local businessman.
Mrs M Fad Russell died Saturday morning at her daughter Mrs J Smith's home in Winston. Surviving are four sons Z Z Russell of Salisbury C M Russell of New York A B and J H Russell of this city two daughters Mrs J Smith of Winston and Mrs Paul Misenheimer. Funeral services were held at Franklinville the old home of the deceased Monday where the interment took place.
Mr. J. N. Angel died Sunday afternoon at his home 206 White Oak Street at age 63. He leaves a widow and five children. Funeral services were held Tuesday evening at the Primitive Baptist church in Mechanicsville with burial in the local burying ground. Geo A Matton remains confined by rheumatism and shows a faint sign of improvement, prompting hopes of recovery.
