Former employees and editor’s relatives serving in government will have their names shown as stars on a massive service flag. The American Press of New York and Philadelphia is preparing the flag, to be unfurled in New York. It will carry about 25 000 stars and exceed 200 feet in length. C G C Smith leads an organization forming High Point Underwear Mills to manufacture light weight undergarments. The Cox building at Main and Washington will host on second and third floors with capacity for 12 060 garments weekly beginning mid January once incorporation papers are received and machinery installed.

Elks Memorial Services Held by Local Lodge

A large crowd gathered at the auditorium Sunday for the annual Elks BPOE memorial service. Rev. J. Cleveland Hall of Danville delivered the address as three members died since the last memorial. Eulogies were given for E A Bencini Sam A Hoover and J F Hofman.
