The Christmas Ready Money Club opens Saturday February 21 at Bank of Commerce offering 4 percent compound interest. Participants are urged to take advantage of clubbing offers to save money.
Mt Pleasant school plans its closing exercises on March 28 with a public program. On April 1 Oak Shade hosts a morning program at 9 30 featuring a fiddlers convention and a 2 30 event with prizes for fiddler banjo and guitar. Admission is 20 cents for adults and 10 cents for children under 12.

Atlanta March 15 details of how every rail on Southern Railway's 7036 miles is inspected annually are in the March issue of the News Bulletin. The program, begun over two years ago, is directed by district engineers and division roadmasters and carried out by track supervisors and section foremen who inspect each rail on hands and knees. When weakness is found the rail is removed, and detailed reports are made for comparison at the next inspection.
