Raleigh December 28 Governor Bickett announced a $400 reward for the lynchers who abducted and killed R. M. Brown proprietor of a moving picture theatre. Brown was being brought for safekeeping when masked men seized him and lynched him. A coroner's jury adjourned without naming suspects. The governor pledged full power of the state to apprehend the participants and make them suffer the full penalty of the law.
