Old Hickory and Wild Cat Join 30th Division History
Captain David L. Lillard of Etowah Tenn explains that the 30th division known as Old Hickory gained the nickname Wild Cat after the British dubbed American troops Wild Cats and Hell Cats during their assault on the Hindenburg line. The List division also adopted Wild Cat as its official title, while the 30th retains its Old Hickory emblem and a distinct insignia.

The Pocahontas is slated for New York February 18 with the 62nd coast artillery complete as well as detachments and medical units.
