Senator Lee S Overman was treated for gangrenous appendicitis in Washington and is recovering well.

Blair Acquitted In Greensboro Self Defense Verdict
In the case State vs Blair over the killing of Geo C Thompson at Greensboro a jury found Blair not guilty after hours of deliberation. The defendant claimed Thompson assaulted him and he acted in self defense. The verdict surprised many and the defendant’s wife and mother wept with jurors.
