Teen Chef participants train with local pros for six weeks
RHI's pilot Teen Chef program in Red Hook Initiative involved six weeks of culinary training with local chefs and catering experts. On August 17 the group cooked a meal from scratch for peers and families, featuring teriyaki chicken and desserts like chocolate tarts and rice crispy treats. Certificates were awarded, and facilitator Mary Victor handed sunflowers as a sign of each participant's brightness.
