Tree Branch Falls in Brooklyn During August Heatwave
A large branch snapped at the corner of Union and Columbia Street in Brooklyn during a heatwave and fell onto the sidewalk. No pedestrians were injured and nearby vehicle damage was minor. Police and fire crews responded, with the Parks Department cleaning up the debris days later. Residents suspect weight and gravity caused the fall and worry about a remaining branch.
