Contaminants from historic industry near Red Hook lead to closure of multiple ball and soccer fields. Four remediation phases span 2018 to 2023 with a total estimated cost of 105.76 million dollars. Field 9 and soccer field 2 remain open during certain phases while keeping long term plans funded.
