Velazquez Announces 99 Million in CARES Act Aid for NYC Hospitals
Representative Nydia Velazquez announced on May 12 that NYC Health and Hospitals Woodhull and Wyckoff Heights Medical Center will share 99,779,000 in CARES Act funding disbursed by the U S Department of Health and Human Services. The grants target areas with high COVID 19 infections and hospitalizations and aim to support frontline doctors and nurses. Velazquez said New York City is an epicenter and stressed funding to bolster immediate care and long term healthcare system resilience.
