Seminarian Ordained Priest in Brooklyn Diocese
Ten new priests were ordained by the Diocese of Brooklyn at the Co Cathedral of St Joseph in Clinton Hill on Saturday June 3. Father Kamil Bober one of the newly ordained spent years at Sacred Hearts/St. Stephen Church and was ordained to the diaconate in 2016. His family traveled from Elblag Poland to witness the ritual and he spoke of the influence of Polish priests he admired growing up. He reflected on his journey from considering police work to a life of service through a call he believes was divinely guided. He celebrated his first Mass on Sunday June 4 at SHSS and blessed relatives and parishioners who supported him. He will serve at St Bernadette in Dyker Heights under Father Thomas Caserta. Parishioners of SHSS expressed pride and look forward to his future ministry and visitations.
