RETI Center proposes floating industrial center at GBX
RETI Center plans a climate focused project on Gowanus Bay Terminal in Red Hook New York. The plan envisions a floating industrial complex called Blue City that would house training, research and public access facilities while using concrete as the primary floating material. The project aims to employ Red Hook Houses residents and train workers in on site fabrication with community involvement. Potential permits and funding questions may delay timeline with a possible small structure at GBX within 18 months.
