Cuomo Eyes Subway and Skyscrapers in Red Hook Plan
In his State of the State address Governor Andrew Cuomo hints at a subway station in Atlantic Basin and moving the Red Hook container terminal to Sunset Park. He cites AECOM figure Chris Ward pushing a plan to replace waterfront with skyscrapers, tripling local population, while Ferry Terminal access grows. Ward says planners will listen to the neighborhood as the firm expands into Sunset Park Industry City.
