Grass Roots Plan Session for Columbia Street Waterfront Park
The Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway held a February 2 planning meeting at Union Street guiding a future park between Degraw and Kane streets on land now used by the Transportation Department. About 70 residents formed eight tables to shape a consensus plan to seek funding, paralleling Fix The Ditch style community lobbying for a cross section of views. The Red Hook Star Revue supports publicizing and hosting future meetings and offers its space and printing services for the planning effort.
