Tina Portelli recalls her third grade year at the century old PS 13 on Degraw Street and the final 1961 closing. She describes classrooms with rolled back front walls, a single piano, and a school culture of teachers priests and policemen. A humorous memory of Mrs. Liberman’s revealed slip ends with the farewell photo on the steps before demolition.
