Affordable high canopy housing planned for Central Park
The HPD in collaboration with Parks and DOT will allocate 25 million dollars to create low rise affordable units in a vacant park area. The plan builds tree top dwellings with 10 by 12 foot spaces and shared amenities, aiming to reduce commutes while preserving greenspace despite community concerns.
