Masons from Plainview and surrounding towns attended the cornerstone ceremony for West Texas State Normal at Canyon with a special train from Lubbock. About 2 000 visitors saw the laying, heard W H Fuqua and J R DeLay address the crowd, and enjoyed a long barbecue. Over 90 Plainview tickets headed the event.
