Roanoke Deaths Verdict Urges Prosecution Of Officials
Roanoke Virginia September 26 The coroner s jury rendered a verdict in the killings of eight men shot during the law and order crackdown. The jury held that weapons used were in the hands of Roanoke Light Infantry soldiers under Capt John Bird and others and urged legal authorities to investigate the officials acts.
