Funeral Service Held for Popular Sidney Youth George Null
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Sidney Methodist church for George Null, a prominent Sidney youth fatally injured September 2. Rev. F Charling Mills and Rev. J B Roe conducted the rites as De Molays and many friends gathered. Interment followed at Sidney Greenwood Cemetery. Null, born April 9, 1910 in Sidney, died after injuries at Cheyenne hospital. Probe notes indicate Mrs. H Stevens has been hospitalized at Kimball.

Union Pacific builds underground drainage under tracks
Report details an ongoing Union Pacific drainage project south of Vine street with a cement tunnel under the main lines and two switches. Workers drive timber supports as a false bottom for the dig and a large culvert will connect to village ditches to flood control goals. Estimated cost about 11 000 to 12 000 dollars and completion expected in several weeks.

Dewey Lovell Hurt After Ice Cream Freezer Fall
Dewey Lovell sustained a deep gash on his face after tumbling over an ice cream freezer during a scuffle with several boys on the Wells Cafe sidewalk Tuesday. Police and bystanders assisted him. no other injuries were reported.
