Carpenters and painters are constructing a cottage on lots west of the Hansen home and will start another nearby next week. Public spirited citizens including H. P Petersen Johnson Bundy and others support ongoing building in Potter and surrounding country, signaling an upbuilding boom.
The Review’s staff downsizes by about three quarters this week as the editor vows to fix remaining errors. Herbert H. Bernie Robinson and Harry Courtwright went to Sidney Saturday night. Jack Gallup and wife arrived from Arapahoe Nebraska for a visit at the Courtright home. Bernie Robinson finished at George Reitzwell's last week and has pulled to George Juelps in Morrill county. A ball game was scheduled for last Sunday on the home diamond but the players were too tired to play.
Leafdale notes report Lucile Olson attending Potter school and a family dinner on August 24 with the Bradys Ericksons Leafdales Elquist family and Charlie. Weather delays threshing after heavy rain Tuesday night. Community members travel to Cheyenne Frontier events and threshing at Kirk resumes September 15 while Mabel Leafdale assists at Kirk. Clarence Hougen recovers as a Cheyenne nurse assists. Ed Erickson threshing begins. Leafdale siblings thresh at Kirk. Emil Leafdale and wife visit Gus Erickson.

Miss Bessie Fry of Iowa niece of P P Waitman arrives to teach in Harrisburg this year. A surprise party for Lloyd Eckart occurred at his home. Eckart heads to Lincoln to study this winter. Hazel Waitman returns from Harrisburg after three weeks with Mrs Harvey Wyat. Oscar McConagy fell ill at the party and regained some strength. District 89 moves a frame house to serve as a schoolhouse replacing the unsafe soddy. Mrs R Skinner is ill but improving. School begins in Redington with Miss Maud Devaul as teacher.

A soaking rain improved fields for fall plowing in Garden Vale. E L Hougen of Sextorp sought threshing help last week. Alfred and Oscar Johnson visited Will Scheele. Petersons and Wicklunds are mentioned with Sunday gatherings. Mrs E M Smith and children returned from Kimball. Smith and Scheele stacked grain for Bartholomew. Local school begins. Bartholomew files final proof in Harrisburg with Johnson and Peterson as witnesses. Wm Scheele sold 140 lbs of ripe tomatoes 125 melons and 30 squashes last week as comments on a dry-country garden.
