Ellen Estella Stewart Kubes died suddenly Saturday near Potter after a headache. Blizzard conditions delayed word and ambulance. Funeral held at Potter Methodist Church with Rev. Sorter preaching on motherhood. Interment in Potter cemetery. She leaves husband William Kubes and nine children, plus brothers and a sister.

4 H Club Specialist to Visit County for Home Economics Training
Miss Allegra Wilkins a 4 H Club specialist from the Extension Service at Lincoln will visit Thursday March 16 spending the day with leaders prospective leaders and others to train them in leading girls in Home Economics clubs. A morning general meeting at 10 o clock will cover club management goals records and demonstrations followed by an afternoon session at 1 o clock on clothing club problems and sewing methods. An additional meeting is planned in April to help club leaders carry through a 4 H project with organization of clubs continuing through March April and May.

Last week several visitors joined the event including Mrs. C. BE. N. Johnson Mrs. Carleson and Miss Carleson from Chicago. Viallace Lee Schmidt celebrated his sixth birthday on March 3rd. We played games and received candy from Viallace. Viallace is a fine worker and we wish him a long life of success.

Lodge Pole Wins Champion Ship At Tournament
Lodge Pole captured the class B meet title at Sidney last Saturday and will represent the district at the state tournament. They defeated McGrew Gurley Sunol and St Patricks in the path to the finals, which Lodge Pole won 22 15. St Patricks beat Potter 30 25 for the lower bracket honors amid a stormy turnout. Harry Pitt and Bert Christensen survived highway wrecks in the same storm with no serious injuries.
