C W Johnson republican candidate for state senator from the 31st district travels the district on an extensive eastern canvass. Supporters praise his calibre and courage and urge voters to express preference in Tuesday's primary. Endorses Johnson as best choice though respect given to Bushee and Kroh.
A local endorsement extols C W Johnson as farmer stockman banker and merchant and urges a Potter vote for State Senator. The letter lauds his 35 years in the district his civic work and business leadership and pledges a development focused term with a square deal for farmers laborers and business people. Potter supporters expect Johnson strong in the primaries.
The article invites all to attend a free Saturday afternoon show at 2 30 featuring The Man Track ers a five reel feature and Tough Luck a two reel comedy no tickets required. Evening screenings at 8 00 by the theatre management charge a nominal fee.
Potter loses a ragged 22 to 18 game to Bayard after a 16 16 tie in the 13th. Jones pitched for Potter ineffectively while Bayard used three pitchers. Bayard outslugged Potter with 26 hits to 23 and committed 5 errors to Potter’s 11. The game lasted three and a half hours, described as the greatest freak game on the Potter diamond with 40 score, 127 at bat, 78 put outs, and 49 hits.
Land owners must destroy or mow all weeds along roads adjoining their property twice yearly with first mowing by July 15 and second by September 1. If not done, the highway commissioner will perform the work and charge the cost as real estate taxes. By order of the Board of County Commissioners. Attest F N Slawson county clerk.
Potter's second team defeated Bunker Hill 11 to 7 last Sunday as Kayne struck out 14 batters and allowed only five hits. Next Sunday the team hosts Bridgeport while the first team travels to Sidney. attendance urged.
The Bear Cats head to Sidney next Sunday for a rematch with the Sidney team after a close win last Sunday. A fast, competitive game is expected with both sides eager to claim the victory.

Kenneth K Starner and Miss Lil lian H Jacobson wed last Tuesday in Sterling Colorado with Wayne Kim berlin and Dorothy Preston as witnesses. Rev Emanuel Payne officiated. The pair planned to reside in Potter. The bride, daughter of N Jacobson, grew up in Potter and is highly regarded. The groom recently arrived and is described as progressive and a good ball player. Also noted is Hazel Gould visiting in Potter from Ponca Nebraska.
