Potter's oil well and local oddities mix
A miscellany of notes from Potter and nearby: oil news, a village dance ban proposal tied to children, humorous quips about a rattling car and a hospital visit, farm chatter on feeding hens, a joke about making men into monkeys, a cautionary tale about an apple and a banana peel, verse on a green apple grave, aviation pun, and a tragic Omaha baby gun incident narrated as a belief in hearsay.
