Simon Fishman of Sidney cultivates 2000 acres and is among Cheyenne county’s happiest growers as prospects for a bumper season improve. W I Swatzlander also farms 1900 acres in Cheyenne county this season signaling strong regional farming activity.
Commissioner N H Troelstrup adds his name to the candidates list on the last page. A resident for years, he lives a mile south of Potter on his ranch and is described as a good businessman well qualified for the office on the Democratic ticket.
Announcement of a week long series of special meetings starting Sunday July 5 and continuing through Sunday July 12. Rev. Rev Kahse officiated before about a hundred guests with a post ceremony supper. Breitung, a well known Dix merchant, and Esther Hansen are honored by many relatives and friends. The notice also promotes the Lincoln State Journal daily and Sunday at $1.00, urging readers to subscribe for impartial coverage of news and politics.
The district No 5 meeting drew locals to revisit old scores and elect a new director. Earl Easton won the vacancy for a three year term amid lively debate and theatrical speeches from G W Davis and others.
