Love Pirates of Hawaii operetta slated for next Friday

Paxton all stars, a fast, experienced five, defeated Potter 36 to 25 on Potter’s floor as L Percy stood out with six baskets from beyond midcourt. Kimball high school tripled the second half scoring to beat Potter 29 to 17, with Potter rallying after a 14 to 10 halftime deficit and a large home crowd in attendance.

Dix mail route becomes daily service
Postmaster Ernest Goding reports that Washington has approved making Dix Route A a daily service rather than tri weekly. Congressman Bob Simmons backed the change. Clayton Spencer has served as carrier for five and a half years with six months off. Motor Route A runs 50.2 miles on the north table and will pay $3200 in salary.

Methodist Church Notes Point to Omaha Field Day
Interesting notes from the Local Methodist Church say the next Sunday pastor plans to attend Field Day meetings in Omaha led by Anti Saloon League organizers. Rev W E Thomas spoke Thursday on Mexico urging non intervention and focus on religious education for the poor. Attendance goals are set for Sunday School reaching 200 with a baker’s dozen spare.

The M E church basketball team will play at Kimball next Monday evening February 28. A few weeks ago they were defeated at W Kimball 41 to 25. Kimball then came here and Potter team won 41 to 21. The third game will be on Kimball floor with a large delegation planning to attend. Both teams are well trained and have fast players.
