The American Legion amateur contest returns with entries open to the world and surrounding communities. Prizes of 5, 8, and 2 dollars will be awarded, voters decide by ballot, and the show features Hoosier Hot Shots and Chorus Girls. Lafferty House to be moved for road widening
Potter village financed the Jensen property purchase and deeded it to Mr and Mrs L F Lafferty in exchange for their home north of the Hagemeister residence. The house and outbuildings will be moved or torn down to widen the curve on the new feeder road and improve sightlines to reduce accidents. the outbuildings have already been removed and the house will be offered to the highest bidder.

A classroom recounts a Valentine party on Tuesday with many Valentines and a candy treat from Miss Morrow. The class started a Life of Washington unit, finished an Eskimo unit, and completed February booklets. They colored the American flag, and thank the county superintendent for spelling awards and poetry, bird, and Indian books.

Members of the junior class enjoyed a party at the Goding home on Saturday evening February 18. They played Chinese checkers jitterbug fiddley winks lexicon and other games. Attendees reported a very enjoyable evening with refreshments including pie a la mode and coffee served by the hostess and aides. High school teachers attended as guests.
