Last Friday evening around seven, U. S. mail pilot Allison became disoriented in a heavy snow storm over Potter. Circling the town, he could not locate a landing place and steered by beacon lights. Prompt local help from John McIntosh and Mrs. Guy Hite guided rescuers to mark the field with red flares, enabling a safe touchdown. The aviator and air service commend Potter’s citizens for timely aid.

Pierce Pioneer of Banner County Dies in Fall at Farm
D P Pierce aged 72 is found dead early Sunday near his farm eighteen miles north of the city. He wandered from home during the night and fell from a cliff of rocks at the foot of a steep embankment. His son Merle, Ed Bybee, and Rommel Moss led the search. the body lay among rocks and thistles with slight facial and hand wounds. A faithful shepherd dog stood guard beside the lifeless form, having earlier helped keep him at home.
