Mr. Olson was transported to a Cheyenne hospital yesterday in very critical condition. He had recently suffered a cold that worsened stomach disorders and rheumatism, and well wishes are extended for his speedy recovery by hospital staff.
Fred Pieron was in Dix last week. Kh M Beate visited the school Monday evening. The mas querade is postponed to Saturday February 27 due to weather. Barbara Pieron spent weekend at Shazen's bank. Hugh Kenoyer visited Frank Henza's on Tuesday afternoon and, with Mr and Mrs Tenza, helped set up a well drill at Red Pieron's Sunday.
Mrs. Herbert W. Robinson and her brother Jon Gearon endured fifteen hours lost on the prairie after leaving Levensky near Kimball Wednesday night. Blinding snow hid the road until they found an empty Wood Butter Meld house to shelter, keeping warm with flour cakes and fuel until the storm eased Friday afternoon.
Mr and Mrs Frank Scott of Highland Kansas born into a large brood seek a new home in Oklahoma as they near ten years of marriage and raise nineteen children all boys thirteen living. They hold the triplet and twin records with five triplets and two sets of twins. thirteen boys are under five. After visiting Alberta Canada they returned, traveling with Mrs Scott and thirteen children on one first class ticket. At Omaha the conductor balked until the Bible confirmed ages and names Ashbell Archer Austin triplets 41 2 Arthur Arnold 31 2 Allan Almon Albin triplets 21 2 Albert Albion Adolph triplets 18 months Abel Abner twins 6 months. Mrs Scott is 30, husband a year older.
Our electric system proved its supremacy during a Saturday night show as the arc light drew 30 amperes without dimming any town lights. The local plant is built for service and demonstrates ideal current for motion picture projection, with engineers Schwartz and Henrikson commended.
Mrs Lucy Rider Milner praises the illustrated lecture on the deaconess movement in Chicago detailing the author’s close work with the deaconess force. She calls the talk one of the greatest steps forward in Methodist deaconess work in America.
Carpenters Mueller and Kalsto work this week on Lutheran improvements with rapid interior progress. A new bell has arrived and been installed in the tower to enhance the church edifice. An oval ceiling is being placed resembling the M. St. church with two column posts and arches near the pulpit. Electric wiring completed this week by Peter Hansen and Arthur Spitzbart.
Sextorp News notes the Corner School gate finished by Alred Strandburg and John Sanders. Joe Benish visited Sextorp on Thursday. Jond Anderson stayed away a week in the county seat possibly over a gold crown. Mrs Lager also called. No absences reported in district 62 last week.

Local notes report Nos being received at the farmers elevator for shipment today. Several residents, including M J Schwartz and Phillip Nelson, visit kin and attend events as winter activities continue.

Luther Teague debate and balloon ascent at Lincoln Washington program February 22. February 26 features illustrated lecture at M bk church Epworth League. February 27 traveling company concert at Thornbury hall. March 10 Passion Play on moving pictures with supper and social. March 16 Joseph in the Land of Egypt four reel motion picture at AI church by Stevens for Happy Harvesters.
The Saturday night performance drew a good attendance despite poor weather. Management explains free tickets from last week caused some hurt feelings and announces future admissions will be cash only to avoid favoritism at the gate.
Both section gangs were in Dix vicinity on Tuesday. Agent Biggs distributed pay checks that day. Depot hours shifted slightly with workers starting one hour later. A battery car traveled through the city on Thursday from Sidney to Pine Bluffs. Operator Lewis appeared in Jacinto area on Sunday and Wednesday. Maintainer Hager visited Sidney on Wednesday evening and passed through Potter Thursday on the battery car.
