Death claims H L Challburg in Sidney hospital
Henry Leonard Challburg, 79, died February 14 1939 after a brief illness. A Kansas-Nebraska pioneer and former state legislator born in Sweden, he lived in Dix Potter and other towns, with survivors across Nebraska California Illinois and Colorado. Funeral services were held February 16 at Potter Methodist Church.

GUS LINN 76 DIES AT KIMBALL IN FIRMUS CAREER
Eric Gustaf Linn a Kimball county leader and pioneer businessman died Sunday of pneumonia at 76. Born in Sweden he arrived in 1862 and settled in Kimball in 1886. He ran a lumber yard then built a hardware and implement store with his sons. Surviving six sons and eight children total served as county treasurer judge and commissioner and was mayor of Kimball. Services held at Methodist church with Masonic interment.

Potter Nebraska trustees met February 6 1939 with temporary chair Hagemeister in charge. They approved paying 75 dollars to the Potter Public Library to complete a 100 dollar annual allotment and granted Thomas Iverson a 40 dollar extra half month salary. Prevailing wage for common labor set at 30 cents per hour. Numerous claims were read and approved.

Nelsons Return From Eastern Nebraska Trip
Mr and Mrs Andrew Nelson and daughter returned Wednesday from an eastern Nebraska trip. They left before Christmas and Mr Nelson became ill in January, later undergoing a major operation at Columbus Nebraska and spending weeks in the hospital. He now shows rapid strength recovery. Ole Nelson managed the Nelson Friendly Camp during the proprietor's absence.
