Bills advertise the Potter Volunteer Fire department ninth annual ball to be held Wednesday February 22 1928 with Toole's eight piece orchestra providing music and a lunch served at midnight. The event is described as a big affair likely to attract wide attendance.
Alterations sweep Linn Implement Store in Pot ter as it transforms to a hardware store. Local managers H. M. Wyckoff and Rutnell Crosby prepare the building for hardware and I. H. C. lines, investing in stock, machinery, and repair parts to handle expected busy trade.
Potter lost a 15-13 game last Friday evening to the Chappel aggregation. Locals were outclassed in shooting accuracy which decided the score though floor work favored Potter. Coach Fowler and his Coyotes earned community pride for their effort as Supt. M A Green of Scottsbluff refereed the game.
The 24 page anniversary issue of the Peetz Gazette highlights eleven years under publisher Frank J. Pulver and praises the fine paper issued fifty two times yearly. C B Mussack and his Scotts Bluff family move to Potter to run the Western Nebraska Oil station and will reopen the nearby filling and service site. The Potter community welcomes the new residents.
Mr and Mrs C A Wildman and daughter of Sterling Colorado visited Sunday and Monday at the home of Mr and Mrs J J Norcross Mr Stumbaugh and Miss Twila.
Tonight Friday the 17th Potter teams load the gym with three games. At 7:00 Gurley grades meet Potter grades, at 7:30 Dalton first team faces Potter reserves, and at 8:15 Gurley meets Potter first team in a conference clash. A full house is expected. arrive early for seats.
Chas O Troy pastor notes a splendid Sunday evening with the High School Glee Club. He praises local schools and students and invites the club to perform again. Services next Sunday include Sunday school at 10, morning worship at 11 with Love That Smites, Epworth League at 6 30, and evening service at 7 30 featuring The Wanderer.

Effective March 1 local consumers will face a new lower rate for electric lights and power. The plan combines lights and power under one meter with 15c for the first 25 KWH, 11c for 26 to 50, and 7c for over 50. Example five and six dozen customers see savings, with a 60 KWH month totaling 7.20 versus 8.50 previously. Also notes that one meter will simplify charges for lights and power, benefiting large users.
