Dalton and Potter Clash On Final Home Game Night

Dalton meets Potter in a Friday showdown on the Porter floor to end the season. Potter carries one conference loss, Dalton began slow but surged last month winning many games. A seven oclock preliminary leads to an eight oclock main event, with strong local support urged.

Mother daughter banquet tickets urged for early purchase

Those attending the mother daughter banquet on February 28 are urged to buy tickets early for meal and seating arrangements. Tickets at 50 cents are available at Leyfang and Johnson stores or from committee members Doris Juelfs Alice Hagemeister Leora Reetz Ruby Kaderli. Reservations should be made on or before February 24 as annual events draw capacity crowds.

The Ladies Guild will meet in the Lutheran church parlors on the afternoon of Thursday February 22. Everyone is cordially invited.

Science on Parade at Potter High School Auditorium

The February 22 program at Potter High School showcases educational science displays. Attendees will see heatless cooking on a stove, sparks from electric demonstrations, voice recording on a screen, and gyroscope demonstrations including a large man-wrestling gyro. The first Wednesday in weeks with no snow or precipitation was recorded this year. Storms had regularly begun on Wednesdays, but this time the day was fair and warm. Some suggested the weatherman smiled on mailmen delivering catalogs unimpeded by storms.

Mailmen Carry Six Cent Montgomery Ward Catalogues

AKlug e shipment of Montgomery Ward catalogues arrived at the post office this week. Wednesday mailmen faced a heavy load as they rolled carts away from the post office. Catalogues were trucked in and postmarked locally. The company had bought stamps previously for the Potter list and likely follows the same system nationwide. Each catalogue bore six cents postage. The narrator notes mailmen endure rough roads but catalogs remain a mailman’s nightmare.

Potter In Ogallala Tourney Brings Regional Teams Together

The Ogallala Lions club plans a strong A. A.
