Donald Wills starts a modern cabin camp project in Potter southeast of town near the Lincoln highway. One cabin built, service station in place, ten more scheduled by June 1, and transmission lines completed. The camp will feature running water, lights, some with hot water and electric stoves, white buildings trimmed in green, and grounds for picnics and playgrounds.

Woman's club candy sale raises about 19 dollars
The Woman's club realized about 19 dollars at a candy sale held during the literary program last Monday evening. Car Shipments Signal Prosperity in 1929 Farm Output
Potters county shipments show 113 carloads of farm crops and 440 cars of small grain and livestock in 1929. Most grain went to Omaha, with 272 cars, and Denver received 68 livestock cars. Other destinations included Kansas City, Denver, Hays, Utah Grand Island, and Gibbon Neb. Farmers Union shipped 59 livestock carloads.

Edward Fisher’s Father Dies After Pneumonia
George Fisher age 86 longtime Cheyenne County pioneer and father of Edw Fisher of Potter died in Sidney last Thursday from pneumonia. A progressive farmer, he resided on the south table for years. Funeral services were held at the M E church in Sidney with Rev Hal F Schenck officiating. Burial followed in the Dunkard cemetery south of Sidney. Sympathy is extended to Edw Fisher and relatives in their bereavement.

Four Inch Snow Blankets Western Nebraska This Week
A heavy warm wet snow fell Wednesday forenoon across western Nebraska, accumulating about four inches with no wind and no drifts. Temperature ranged from 30 above to 38 above, moisture high. Roads will be affected on country lanes, while elevated and gravel sections fare better. Clearing skies followed, with more snow possible later. This is the first February storm and may remain light if no intensification occurs.
