Two will be elected in April to serve three years. Town board two terms expire this year John Witt and C J Brady. Two will be elected in April to serve two years. Police magistrate position open for two years. Come to the caucus on March 1 and nominate the men you wish to see on the ticket.

Frank Berg Old Timer Passes Away in Denver
Word reached here of the death of Frank Berg at Denver on December 20 1937 after a major operation. Aged 82 he will be remembered by many old timers. He and his family homesteaded here in the early 90s on the northwest quarter of 14 15 52. Last September he and his daughter Anna visited the A M Leafdale home and old friends. It was the first time he had been here in 43 years. His home is at Grand Junction Colorado.

Jurgensen Convicted of Felony in Nebraska
Walter H. Jurgensen, Nebraska lieutenant governor, found guilty of a felony by Judge Chappell in Lincoln after a 17 hour jury verdict. He faces one to seven years for embezzling 916 dollars from Union Pacific agent C. C. Kaderli at Potter. Jury valued the property at 549.71. Defense may seek a new trial.

Nine Kimball youths aged 15 to 23 and an older man face petty larceny charges in Cheyenne county court for stealing three men’s overcoats and five hats from the Potter dance hall. Gerald Hughes 19 died in a local hospital after a week illness. Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church and interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Survived by husband and parents, a one week old baby, a brother John, and sisters Helen Mary and Leona in Denver.

Sidney Telegraph reports Harry Reinmuth of Broadwater, a top Morrill county marksman, abandoned his gun and tactic to kill a coyote. He wounded the animal which fled to a cattle water tank. after his ammo ran out he tried to club it, failed, and ripped the coyote’s tail off when a stray bullet hit.
