Ted Farr 22 youngest son of Mrs Mamie Farr of Dalton Community was seriously injured when his car overturned on the road south of Dalton last Friday while attempting to pass another car. He is in Dalton hospital with cuts bruises broken bones and probable internal injuries.
A historic Union Pacific train resembling the first passenger train to pass Potter is due at 2 10 p m next Wednesday February 16 for a twenty minute exhibition at the Union Pacific station The display includes Car No 1 a main and passenger car Car No 9 built in 1866 Car No 97 an immigrant sleeper Car X01 an early business car and a small locomotive with period fittings The cars were recently refurbished and a sleeper berth will be shown as a mock setup for early travelers Other exhibits include Lincoln relics from the Union Pacific Historical Museum The train travels to Cheyenne for the sixtieth anniversary celebration February 17 and will stop at Dix at 2 50 p m for five minutes The Woman s Club note on Men C A Larsen s talk was omitted from a contributor list by error.

Potter high school boys dominated a Friday evening game against Sydney, winning 33 to an unseen score. The Potter guards anchored a sturdy defense while forwards and center scored steadily, marking a third consecutive conference win.
The Interstate Bus Lines of Greeley Colorado begin daily service to Potter with a Studebaker bus running Sidney to Laramie via Cheyenne. The Potter depot is at Potter Drug Co. with tickets available there. Schedule lists many stops including Cheyenne and Laramie with arrival at Potter 8 10 a.m. and return 8 45 p.m. The row notes pilot illness and a Friday Lodge Pole trip for high school teams.
House Bill 187 seeks a $25,000 appropriation to establish and maintain an agricultural experimental sub station in Cheyenne county Nebraska. Senator C W Johnson backs the measure as farmers and business men express broad support. A meeting at Potter Garage Monday at 7 30 p m invites interested citizens to discuss forming a Potter area baseball club and potential officers.
The county and state road departments have rented the building just east of the City Garage and are fitting it up for storage and repair of road maintenance and construction equipment. All road department material will be housed there and repair work conducted on site.
Potter Post No 29 of the American Legion sponsors a dance for Saturday night with Grabill's orchestra providing the music. Advertising notices have been distributed for the event.
A Kansas Globe brief recounts Joe spotting a train and not stopping. His car, nicknamed the Lizzie, was dragged to a shop and returned to like new after a week or two of work. No extra parts of Joe were found despite a thorough search.
