At the annual meeting of the stock holders and directors of the Citizens State Bank of Potter, K A Babcock resigned as cashier and was elected vice president. D F Ene voldsen became cashier and Fred C Johnson along with Miss Ella Wickhorst were named assistant cashiers. Babcock remains a director. Potter Battery and Filling Station Changes Hands
A deal was negotiated this week to sell the Potter Battery and Filling Station on Lincoln Highway Street. R. H. Strom sold to Mr. Mock of Chappell, brother of Pearl Mock. The new manager will take charge next Monday, with Mr. Strom remaining in Potter for a while.

Five Mile Fire Whistle To Be Replaced
The town recently bought a new five mile fire whistle for the fire department and installed it at the power plant. It sounds like a peanut vendor’s whistle and can be heard for three blocks under calm conditions. The village clerk has ordered a whistle twice as large and the current unit will be removed when the new one arrives.

Mill Closed Down For Two Weeks
This week the flour mill of the Farmers Union Trading Company was shut down and will remain idle for two weeks. At the expiration of this time the wheels will be started again but will only run in the daytime. Over production is attributed to the shutdown.

Village water and light accounts paid up in January
On January 1 the village treasurer showed about 2200 owed on water and light. The board authorized collection in January and by February 1 all accounts were current. There are 197 customers.
