New York reports the Lincoln Highway as a major money circulator from coast to coast as tourists travel to California. In 1915, about 25,000 motor cars reached California via the Lincoln Highway, while 250,000 out of state visitors entered New York, distributing funds across 400 towns along the route.
The Dalton Delegate disputes a postmaster’s report story echoed from Potter Review. It notes the tale’s youthware origins, cites an Illinois editor as the usual author, and questions truthfulness while labeling it a road story.

Dalton Delegate reports F A Burke, special agent for the C B Q railroad, settled with six boys after their skating Sunday near Simla caused railroad property damage. The penalty was severe, but the boys reached a monetary settlement. Karl Peycke of Gothenburg contributes verse praising Ireland and foretelling England’s decline. Mr and Mrs H W Struble left for West Branch Iowa for an extended visit with relatives, expected to return in a few months.
Mr and Mrs Gemeinhardt and family attended German church services in Sidney Sunday evening. Royal Neighbors thanked public for turnout and patronage at a social. They raised about $16. Dr Warrick to visit Kimball and Sidney for eye ear nose throat care. Watch and jewelry repairs offered in Potter. Bundy plans sale add ons and more horses next Monday.
Lincoln Journal Up State readers reported agrarian and political meetings ended with a clear Prohibition majority exceeding 25 000. Former Senator Walter Hoagland noted one dissenting traveler who claimed prohibition earlier passed, but his claim was contradicted as he admitted collecting for a whiskey firm.

Funeral services for Mr. Berg will be held from the Lutheran church in Potter next Sunday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Potter Cemetery.
