Reverend L V Slocumb and family from Sidney relocate to Potter to reside in the Methodist church parsonage. He preached his first sermon last Sunday to a large crowd, and Potter residents welcome him and his family, wishing a long and pleasant stay.
An interesting meeting was held in the Sidney courtroom on the afternoon of the 24th. It was the first in a series of meetings titled Home Care of the Sick led by Miss Edith Martin, a graduate nurse from the Exten.
Nine communities in the county were represented by two delegates each at an organizing meeting for a countywide ladies' aid program. Additional organizations may join by appointing two delegates, who may attend future meetings. The next meeting will be in the Sidney court room on February 21 at 10 a.m. to discuss "the Patient and His Daily Care." County Agent.
The Woman's Club will hold its regular meeting on Friday February 8 with hostess Mrs C A Larsen and leader Mrs Joseph Nelson. Roll call will feature Quotations from my favorite author. Sessions start at 4 oclock to accommodate teachers. A committee reports selecting about 40 books for the library donated by the club, to be ordered by Mrs A E Brady from Denver and installed soon.
Harry P. Conklin, a Harle Haas Drug Co. salesman in the district for fourteen years, has filed for the Democratic nomination for United States representative, subject to the April primaries. Born and raised in the district, he knows conditions across the area and aims to win the nomination.
On Monday February 4, the stockholders meeting of Farmers Union Trading Co. will be held at the M I church. The Ladies Aid will serve sandwiches pie doughnuts pickles and coffee in the church basement from 11 30 a m. Proceeds fund recent parsonage work. All invited.
A second community sale will be held in Potter next Saturday afternoon February 9 starting at 1 o clock on the streets. Bills for the sale will be printed Monday. those wishing articles listed on the bill should submit lists at the Review office by Saturday or early Monday morning.

A local man presents the Buckner talk from the Citizens State Bank special program. He reflects on life, the era of deflation, and the future after three hard years of economic strain. He urges effort, courage, and choosing to pursue success where one stands, ending with a hint of continuation on page four.
Potter led the Potter team with dominant scoring across 10 games, posting 393 points while restricting opponents to 126. Potter across the season defeated Goodview, Bushnell, Dix, Lodge Pole, Kimball, and others with a strong 12 wins in 13 games for the Gales.
Potter teams swept three of four in a weekend set. Friday at home the girls beat Lodge Pole 30 to 1 and the boys 18 to 4. Saturday at Kimball the girls won 46 to 4 while the Potter boys lost 34 to 19 amid tensed crowd and unsportsmanlike remarks from Lodge Pole supporters.
The senior class chose a motto Go Upward Not Downward and a flower ear nation. Senior notes report sociology debates and upcoming basketball vs Cheyenne. Sophomores name Fats and Leans after a History Con test with a party at Johnson Grove and new student Esther Strandberg. Freshmen share teachers quotes and a wax to flower art schedule. Poems urge personal purpose and daily work as a candle not a lighthouse.
Clarence Strandberg and Ruth Elmquist were married January 12 by Rev. Chas. Strandberg north of Chappell. The couple resides on the groom's farm north of town, with Clarence noted as a sturdy Nebraska farmer and Ruth praised as a charming, respected young woman.
Reynolds Tobacco Company salesman drives a Ford that overturns near the Point of Rocks east of town. The driver is found semi conscious, recovers in town, suffering only bruises and scratches. The car sustains heavy damage and is at the City Garage for repair.
