William Frederick Eigenberg 59 a grain business figure at Gurley and Huntsman died Christmas day at his home eight miles east of Gurley. In failing health for some time he came to Gurley in 1915 and led the local grain operations serving as manager of elevators at Gurley and Huntsman. Nebraska State Museum team led by Schultz et al arrives in Bridgeport on December 1 to collect a remarkably preserved fossil jaw from an extinct giant camel. Discovered by Chaloupka and Middleswart on December 12, the specimen, embedded in gravel, is identified as a member of the giant camel family.
