General Rain Brings Needed Moisture to Plains
Western Nebraska parts of Colorado and southern Wyoming received general rain after a storm. A two inch fall was reported at Wade Pole while Potter saw no rain. 1.29 inches fell in 48 hours near the area. Rain aided ground moisture, stopping harvests briefly but boosting crops pasture and seed yields. Colorado towns reported heavy rains causing floods and fatalities in mountain areas.

Wheat shipped from Potter tops 109 cars in harvest drive
One hundred nine cars of winter wheat were shipped from Potter during the harvest season. The shipment is estimated at about 1865,000 bushels or over 11 million pounds.
