Flood Swallows Campes Near The Dalles Killing One
A flash flood in a canyon south of The Dalles Oregon swept through crop worker camps injuring three and drowning Sally Ann Joyce 80 of Toppenish Washington. Police said 40 to 50 people were carried by the flood which ripped trailers tents cars and trucks into the stream. One hospitalized man was crushed when vehicles piled up at the canyon head.
