Utah official rules on interstate beer shipments
Utah Attorney General Joseph Chez ruled that the state cannot interfere with interstate shipments of beer and wine when proof of interstate origin is shown. The decision followed a seizure of a Wyoming truckload of beer bound for Nevada and cited potential seizure under state law for intrastate 3.2 percent beer. The ruling supports ongoing enforcement while backing a Lea bill to legalize higher alcohol wines and tax them.
