American flier delayed by gas line leak in Siberia

Jimmy Mattern, the American round the world flyer, landed near Prokopievsk after gasoline fumes from a leaking fuel line almost overwhelmed him. He reported illness from fumes and planned temporary repairs at Belovo before continuing to Krasnoyarsk.

Mrs Roosevelt says son wife want divorce in Nevada

In Los Angeles Mrs Franklin D. Roosevelt said Elliott Roosevelt would establish a Nevada residence to allow his wife Elizabeth Donner to seek a Reno divorce on incompatibility grounds. Plane crash halts Mollison winged record bid

English pilot Captain James Mollison and his wife survived a takeoff crash at Croydon Airport while attempting new aviation records. The three ton plane sustained extensive damage but could be repaired in about a week. They planned a Croydon New York hop, then a 12,000 mile journey to Bagdad and back.
